Television news producer and writer based in Austin

About Me

Television news producer with five years of experience driving measurable ratings growth across traditional and streaming platforms. Currently producing KVUE's 5pm newscast in Austin after being strategically moved with my executive producer from our successful 10pm show to boost viewership - a challenge we've met with proven results since August 2024.

My career started in master control at WTIU (PBS) before producing the 11pm news at WTWO (NBC). There, I collaborated with network talent including Andrea Canning to help find footage for a special called Dateline: The Last Day, which helped me build skills in cross-platform storytelling that connect local stories to national audiences.

I worked closely on KVUE's duPont-Columbia Award-winning Uvalde reporting - one of broadcast journalism's highest honors. I also led coverage of major breaking news including the deadly flooding in central Texas and other high-stakes stories requiring sensitivity and precision under national scrutiny.

As a digital-first producer who excels at breaking news cut-ins, I bring measurable results by finding the local angle that resonates with viewers across linear TV, mobile, and streaming platforms. My current responsibilities include managing complex live shows and driving content strategy that consistently grows audience numbers.
